Why it costs what it costs

Printed as flat panels and then sewn, so the cross pattern runs unbroken down the front and around the sleeve rather than stopping at a printed patch. Made after you order it, so nothing here is priced to cover unsold stock. The Signature robe in this capsule is cut on a heavier brushed flannel with a shawl collar and self belt, if that is the weight you want.

A robe spends more of its life on a hook than on a person. That is the argument for ivory here: hung full length on the back of a door, the pale ground lets the whole trellis read at once, top to hem, the way it never does on a body that keeps moving.
