Why it costs what it costs

The pattern is printed across the panels before the boot is assembled — not screened onto a finished blank — so the repeat runs unbroken instead of stopping at a printed patch. Each pair is made after you order it, which is why it takes about three weeks, and why there is no warehouse of unsold stock priced into it.

A pale boot that is still a foul-weather boot. Ivory is the lightest ground the house prints, laid over the same waterproof shell as the other two colourways. It is the pair for the dry end of the season, without pretending the weather will hold.

Gold shields, each marked with an oxblood cross, sit in a rope-lattice trellis with four-point stars, and JOSHUA 1:9 is set in gold small caps inside the cartouche. Against ivory the mark carries further than it does on charcoal — the quietest colourway in the house is also the one people notice first.
