Why it costs what it costs

Varied pocket sizes, a drawstring closure and a quick-release buckle are four separate build operations on a piece this small, and each one exists because somebody expects the bag to be used rather than carried. Made after you order it, so nothing here is priced to cover unsold stock.

Everything else in the line hangs vertically — down a body, off a shoulder, across a back. This one sits horizontally, strapped at the waist, wider than it is tall. So the repeat reads as a band rather than a field: one row of shields running left to right at belt height, which is the only place on a person the monogram travels sideways. It is a different look at the same pattern, and this is the only piece that gives it to you.
