Why it costs what it costs

A high-stretch blend is harder to print and harder to cut true than a stable woven, because the cloth wants to move while it is being handled. Printing it flat and cutting afterwards is the part that costs; it is also the only way the repeat stays square once the short is on.

A pocket is the detail that usually gets left out of a stretch short, because it is the hard one — something has to hold a phone still while everything around it is moving. This pair has one, at the side, printed continuous with the leg so the opening does not announce itself. You find it by feel, which is the correct way to find a pocket at mile three.
