Why it costs what it costs

Printed across the panels before the bag is cut and sewn, so the repeat carries over the face and around the gusset instead of stopping at a printed square. Made after you order it, so nothing here is priced to cover unsold stock.

Six inches of depth is the whole difference between a bag and a sack. Most printed totes are two flat panels sewn at the edge; this one has a gusset, so it holds its shape with nothing in it, and the pattern has to turn two corners and keep going along the side. Those side panels are the part almost nobody prints, and they are the part you see when the bag is sitting next to you.
