Why it costs what it costs

The pattern is printed across the panels before the shoe is assembled — not screened onto a finished blank — so the repeat runs unbroken instead of stopping at a printed patch. Each pair is made after you order it, which is why it takes about three weeks, and why there is no warehouse of unsold stock priced into it.

Charcoal is where the mark was drawn. Gold on a near-black ground is the highest contrast the house prints, so this is the colourway where the lattice reads hardest and the shields resolve first. The other two grounds are translations of this one.
